Learn about it's connections to Henry V111and Anne Boleyn, who lived here during their temptemptuous marriage. Learn about it's  strong connection to naval history, pirates and famous captains. Nelson laid in state in the Royal Hospital for Seaman here after being killed in the Battle of Trafalgar.     No entry or admissions fees for any of the houses or museums that charge an entry fee are included. You may wish to visit these after your tour so must buy your own tickets at the time.

     Both The Queens House and The National Maritime Museum are FREE and you do not need to book 

    The Cutty Sark and the Royal Observatory (Flamstead House) you have to pay and it is advisable to book.

    The Royal Observatory gets very busy so it may be worthwhile booking at least 1 1/2 hrs before your tour to make sure you can get to the starting point on time.

    This station has a degree of step-free access to the platform, which may be in both directions or in one direction only - please check details - Step free access to platform 1 via ramp. Step free access to platform 2 via station entrance. Step free interchange via DLR lift to/from DLR subway. For stepped access between platforms go via station subway.

    It is an 0.4 mile walk to the Start outside St Alphage Church and another 0.1 mile to the entrance of the park


    This walk is through a park with  paths of gravel so is easily accessible for prams, wheelchair both motorised and manual.

    What to bring

      Please wear comfortable shoes it is a 2 hour walk. Also, if the is any chance of rain or cold weather dress appropriately many people underestimate how cold it can get when it's raining or winter season next to the River Thames.
